NAVAJO FRY BREAD

NOAH & IAN give this an A+.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup warm water
Vegetable oil

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add water and stir to make a soft dough, adding more water, if needed. Knead on floured surface until smooth. Place dough in bowl. Brush top with a little oil. Cover and let stand 30 minutes. Divide dough into 6-8 pieces. Roll out or pat dough into 6 1/2 inch rounds on a floured surface. Place rounds on floured baking sheets. Heat 1/2 inch vegetable oil in skillet over medium heat to 375 degrees. Fry each round for 2 minutes or until golden, turning once. Drain on paper towels.
